Dear Passengers, Partners and Colleagues,
The International Airport of Mykolaiv is launching its new official website – www.airport.Nikolaev.ua – which without a doubt is a very important event in the airport’s life. A comprehensive Internet source is an indispensable means of communication for any dynamic high-tech company to possess these days.
Mykolaiv Airport is the oldest aviation enterprise in Ukraine, which started in 1944, when the airport was a military air station for the armed forces of the Soviet Union. Subsequently, the enterprise has been reoriented for civil aviation, to provide passenger and freight traffic.
This is the current situation at the airport:
- There is now a scheduled flight from Mykolaiv-KIEV-Mykolaiv.
- Programs with cargo airlines on freight traffic have been completed, with negotiations with airlines to begin commercial flights continuing.
- There is now a reservation system, as well as a finance department in the airport.
- Building of the VIP-terminal, and also a hotel for crews is being initiated.
- Tickets can now be purchased at travel companies and other agencies in Ukrainian cities, owing to finalised agreements.
Work to attract airlines to use the airport, with the purpose of refuelling, is now being conducted. Owing to its location and favourable pricing policy, the opportunity has arisen to use Mykolaiv airport not only in respect to passenger and cargo transportation, but also as transit.
In respect to geography, the range of charter flights is wide. For travel companies, sea companies, and other enterprises, there are many economic incentives to use the airport with a view to organise charter flights.
It should be said that the basic work on reconstruction of the airport complex is still to come. This ambitious program of modernisation of the airport will mean that the International Airport of Mykolaiv will become one of the most competitive aviation-transport centres in Southern Ukraine, and will be able to meet all parameters at an international level. Any passenger, for example, from Europe or America, should find comfortable conditions, as well as a modern set of services.
