The aviation-technical base at the International Airport of Mykolaiv is operated by the engineering-aviation service, which has been running since 1944.
The engineering-aviation service is a certificated organisation that provides operative maintenance of aircraft type IL -76, Yak -42, Tu -154, Tu -134, Yak -40, An -24, An -26, L -410 and receives and provides ground handling for almost all aircraft types.
There is maintenance shop within the International Airport of Mykolaiv that provides such services as:
- Operative and periodic maintenance.
- The repair of aircraft components.
- Preparation for departures during winter. (Heating, De-icing)
- Technological expertise for maintenance processes.
- Referencing and documentation.
- Metrological check of measurement tools.
- Handling and analysis of the flight information.
- Additional maintenance activities where specified by airlines.
In the engineering-aviation service, the highly qualified engineers and mechanics that provide these services are available not only to the organisations that are based at the airport, but also to other airlines.
‘Aerotechservice Ltd’, which is based at the airport, provides commercial expertise and manages the maintenance and repair of relevant aircraft.
Today at the International Airport of Mykolaiv, both aeroplanes of a domestic and a foreign manufacture – of all types – purchase maintenance. More than fifty Ukrainian and foreign carriers use ground handling.
